Hambrey Consulting brings together economic and ecological expertise, and academic and practical experience, to build imaginative but realistic solutions to natural resource management problems.
We work primarily in the field of natural resource development, management, and conservation. We specialise in the analysis of the social, economic and environmental costs and benefits of alternative activities, and in the development of policy, strategy, codes of conduct, and institutions that will promote the ideals of sustainable development. We have a particularly strong track record in coastal and aquatic resource development and management - especially aquaculture and fisheries. We also undertake work on land use policy, biodiversity conservation and management, and sustainable business practice.
